Google introduced the Circle to Search feature on select Android devices in mid-January 2024. This AI-powered feature gives results for what you are looking for with a simple circle gesture. In a recent leak, a dedicated icon for song search was spotted in Circle to Search on select Android devices. Using this, the AI tool will find a song that you play on the screen and run a Google Search for it.
You can check this Reddit post shared by a user who happily expressed his opinion about the song search feature. As the user found it in his Galaxy S23 series handset, it is still unsure whether other Android devices and the Samsung series will also get it shortly.
Another advantage of Circle to Search is that it prompts the user to play, sing, or hum the song. It helps the AI detect and show exact results of what the user is expecting without recognizing similarities.
Steps to Use Circle to Search for Finding Music
Pull up Circle to Search. If you use gesture control, hold the navigation bar to open it. Otherwise, hold the Home button. Once Circle to Search opens, a pop-up will be shown with the info about this feature. Tap the Music icon at the bottom right corner of the screen. Your handset will begin to listen and will display a message that reads, “Play, sing, or hum a song…“
The Circle to Search music recognition technology by Google streamlines the way a user finds information in a short time. However, Google has yet to make an official announcement about the availability of this new feature globally.
