On August 19, 2024, Apple made a surprising announcement that Podcasts are available to stream from the web. The company clarified that its web version is compatible with Chrome, Safari, Edge, and Firefox in more than 170 countries.
The web version looks similar to the Apple Podcasts app and allows users to register or log in to their accounts without difficulty. The home screen of the Podcasts Web is user-friendly, so you can search for new episodes and listen to them comfortably.
In the Browse tab, you can find categories like New & Noteworthy, The Moment, Daily News, Top Trailers, New Seasons, Conversation Starters, and more. Furthermore, you can click the Top Charts to explore the popular episodes, greatest channels, and shows of subscriber favorites.
Another good thing about the web version is that it auto-syncs the episodes that you play in the app if you are using the same Apple ID. So, if you pause a podcast episode in the app, you can resume it on the web from where you have left off.
Podcasts Web is exclusively released for Android and PC users. If you visit https://podcasts.apple.com on an iPhone or iPad, the browser will automatically redirect to the Apple Podcasts app.
