It has been three years since the release of the Apple AirPods 3. Finally, the wait is over. Mark Gurman, in his recent newsletter, stated that Apple is working on the release of AirPods 4 in two new variants. Most likely, the fourth generation of Apple AirPods 4 will make its debut in the upcoming September or October event.
According to the Bloomberg report, one variant of AirPods 4 will be competitively low-priced with basic functions. The other variant of AirPods 4 will be high-priced but will have active noise cancellation, wireless charging, and gesture control capabilities.
If you are currently using AirPods 2 (priced at $90), consider buying AirPods 4 basic edition as an upgrade. If you own AirPods 3 and you want an upgrade, buy an enhanced edition of AirPods 4. We expect AirPods 4 will be powered by the latest H2 chip, which delivers a long battery life.
In this update, Apple is about to replace the Lightning connector and bring in USB-C to charge the AirPods 4 case. Wireless charging will also be supported by the enhanced edition of AirPods 4 in addition to the USB-C connection.
Besides the official report, many rumors are spread about an update to the AirPods launch. It is still doubtful whether Apple has decided to introduce the 3rd generation of the AirPods Pro.
