How to Hide an Artist on the Spotify App
If you don’t prefer to listen to songs of a specific artist on Spotify, you can hide an artist directly. To do this, navigate to the artist’s page in the Spotify app and tap the three-dot icon next to the Follow or Following button.
Select Don’t play this artist, and a confirmation message will appear stating, “OK, we won’t play music from this artist again.” If you change your mind and want to unhide an artist, repeat the steps and tap Allow this artist to play.
Turn Off Listening Activity on the Spotify App
To keep your music listening habits private, you can turn off the Listening activity feature so that your followers won’t see your recently played songs or artists. This option is available for Spotify’s mobile and desktop apps.
Open the Spotify app, tap the Profile icon in the top left corner, and go to Settings and privacy. Then, navigate to Privacy & Social and toggle off Listening activity and Recently played artists.
