How to Watch Spectrum TV on Google TV

The Spectrum TV app allows Spectrum TV and Internet customers to watch on-demand content and live TV channels. However, Spectrum TV has not yet been released for Google TV Streamer, Chromecast with Google TV, and Smart TVs powered by Google TV. Knowing this fact, we have prepared an article explaining other ways to stream Spectrum TV on Google TV devices.

How to Sideload Spectrum TV on Google TV Using Downloader for TV

1. Go to the Play Store on Google TV and install the Downloader for TV app.

2. Then, go to Settings on Google TV and choose System from the options.

3. Tap About from the list and click Android TV OS build 7 times until it displays the “You are now a developer” message on Google TV.

4. Return to Settings and click Apps from the options list.

5. Tap Security & Restrictions, click Install Unknown Apps, and turn ON Downloader for TV.

6. Go back to the home screen on your Google TV, locate the Downloader for TV app, and launch it.

7. Accept the storage permissions by clicking Allow. Then, choose the Home tab to enter https://urlsrt.io/IvHJv, and tap Download.

8. It will direct you to the Spectrum TV APK download page. Tap Download to get the APK file on your device.

9. Once you download Spectrum APK, click on it and choose Install. The app will be installed on Google TV.

10. Then, click Open to run the Spectrum TV app on your device.

11. Further, input your Spectrum TV account credentials to sign in and watch its content.

How to Watch Spectrum TV on Google TV Using Browser

Google TV devices don’t have a built-in browser. To access the web version of Spectrum TV, you should install a browser on your device.

1. Run the Play Store on Google TV and install the TV Web Browser app.

2. After the installation, run the TV Web Browser on Google TV by clicking the Open button.

3. Tap Allow to agree to the terms & policy and grant storage access for the app.

4. Enter https://watch.spectrum.net in the address bar and go to the website.

5. The website will ask you to sign in. Enter the appropriate username and password in the relevant fields and click Sign In to proceed.

6. Play a live TV channel, movie, or TV show and watch it on your Google TV.

Screen Mirror Spectrum TV to Google TV Using Smartphone

1. Ensure your Google TV is connected to the same WiFi as your mobile device.

2. Install the Spectrum TV mobile app on your Android or iPhone from the built-in app store.

3. Run the Spectrum TV app and sign in with the registered username and password.

4. Play any media file in the app and tap the Cast icon. If you have an AirPlay-compatible Google TV, go to your iPhone’s Control Center and tap Screen Mirroring.

5. From the available devices, pick your Google TV to initiate mirroring.

Now, the selected Spectrum TV content will stream on your TV.

Note: Chromecast with Google TV is incompatible with AirPlay. To use AirPlay on Google TV, check whether your Smart TV is compatible. Notably, some Hisense and Sony Google TVs have AirPlay support.
